If you have never tried to layer because you think it's too complicated, think again! You are missing out on some fun and amazing results. I will show you just how easy it is and walk you through the process STEP by STEP.
Open the design in your software. You can change the color of different layers in the program to figure out which color combination works best for your project. Separate the layers from each other and make sure to mirror the design (very important!)
When you cut HTV (heat transfer vinyl) the shiny side (carrier sheet) must be facing down.
Cut each color/layer out separately.
After all of the pieces are cut, I layer them on top of each other as they were in my software. This makes the placement on the shirt much easier.
When I figure out where the bottom layer should be placed I remove the other layers, press the bottom layer to the shirt, and remove the carrier sheet. Then the next layer can be placed, pressed, and so on.
You know you've succeeded when you get a HUGH SMILE from your little boy.
